HYT: H2 - the watch with fluid time display
The H2 is the second model of HYT with a smooth time display. The hand-wound watch with the Caliber HYT in the black DLC-coated titanium case, informs about the hours by means of a fluorescent liquid in a tube.
The luminous liquid displaces a transparent one; both are stored in two slanted bellows to the right and left of an engraved plaque with the number six.
When the luminous fluid reaches the six o'clock position, the left bellows sucks the fluid back to the beginning of the scale in ten seconds. A large hand with red and white markings and a transparent scale indicate the minutes.
The H2 also has two useful additional functions: a temperature indicator is located opposite a crown position indicator at 3 o'clock. Since liquids expand or contract depending on temperature, small fluctuations can occur despite state-of-the-art technology.
The indicator informs the wearer about the fluid's condition and thus the expected inaccuracy. The double mainspring barrel, visible from the back, ensures a power reserve of 8 days. The H2 is fitted with an anthracite-colored, rubberized crocodile leather strap and will be built in a limited edition of 50.
The current new price is at least 45,000 euros.
