A wall clock and art object in one: EARTH 45 by QLOCKTWO is an impressive designer wall clock that displays the time in words. The EARTH 45 model is based on the label's first design by designers Marco Biegert and Andreas Funk.
The initial idea has now developed into a manufactory; since 2009, Qlocktwo watches have been produced as unique, handcrafted pieces in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
The highlight of the wall clocks is the time display in words: The letters of the matrix are laser-etched and allow the light behind the front cover to shine through. This always displays the current time in words. A light sensor automatically adjusts the brightness of the LEDs to the ambient light, so that at night, for example, the time is displayed less brightly but still clearly legible.
Alternatively, the brightness can also be adjusted manually. The front cover, made of matte powder-coated stainless steel, is attached to the 2 cm deep white lacquered wooden body with eight magnets. The front cover can be replaced if necessary—for example, if you want to switch to a different color or language.
If you would like an additional color or a different language, such as English, both are available upon request – our customer service will be happy to advise you. The EARTH 45 is square and measures 45 x 45 cm.
It operates on a 220 V power supply and also features an energy storage device that ensures the clock continues to glow for 24 hours even in the event of a power outage. In addition to the wall mount, an acrylic stand is also included, allowing the clock to be placed anywhere in the room. The 2.20 m long white textile cable provides the necessary flexibility.
The EARTH 45, with its unique word-based time display, is a home decor item for lovers of functional and aesthetic design. With its high-quality material mix of stainless steel and wood, the EARTH 45 is particularly suitable for modern and style-conscious living rooms and kitchens.
