Russische Militäruhren und Entstehung der Marke "Vostok" - Sammler-Uhren

Russian military watches and the creation of the Vostok brand

Russian military watches in World War II

In 1930, the First State Watch Factory ("Kirowa1", today Poljot ) was founded because there was a need to supply the Red Army with pocket watches and wristwatches.

Previously, people had to rely on imports from other countries.

Another Russian watch manufacturer that produced military watches during World War II was Vostok (Russian for “East”).

It was built on Stalin's orders after the production facilities of the Second State Watch Factory had to be relocated further east. The reason for this was the German Wehrmacht, which had already advanced too far into Soviet territory in 1942.
