Franck Muller ( Franck Muller Watchland SA ) is a Swiss watch manufacturer with seat in Genthod . The company employs approximately 500 people and generated a turnover of 380 million in 2009. Swiss franc .
Story
The company was founded in 1991 by the Geneva watchmaker and Designer Francesco “Franck” Muller and Vartan Sirmakes, a gem setter Armenian Origin, founded. The ones they manufactured Wristwatches were characterized by their Tonneau shape and the large, curved numerals in Art Nouveau style . The watches, positioned in the luxury segment, became a bestseller within ten years.
In 2003, significant disagreements arose between the company founders regarding the future strategic direction. Muller lost his influence but retained a 50% stake in the company. Subsequently, in 2005, under the leadership of Vartan Sirmakes, the company acquired further brands. In 2010, Muller and Sirmakes declared their dispute settled and have been working together again ever since.
In 2019, new equipment was installed on the factory premises, Watchland inaugurated two new buildings with an area of 16,000 m², where components for the clockwork to be manufactured
