1860: The 24-year-old Louis-Ulysse Chopard founded a precision manufactory for pocket watches and chronometers in Sonvilier, Switzerland.

1904: Founding of the brand "Karl Scheufele", which specializes in jewelry watches and is sold under the name Eszeha.

1913: First advertising campaign for Chopard entitled “LUCL-U. Chopard watch factory, founded 1860”.

1963: Paul-André Chopard sells Chopard to Karl Scheufele III.

1972: Launch of the Belle Époque collection

1976: Creation of the first Happy Diamonds watch

1980: Launch of the first sports watch: St. Moritz

1988: The partnership between Chopard and the Mille Miglia, the legendary classic car rally in Italy, begins. Chopard creates the 1000 Miglia sports watch collection.

1997: The first LUC 1860 watch, equipped with a LUC 1.96 movement. Creation of what was then the world's most expensive watch: Chopardissimo.

1998: Introduction of the La Vie en Rose collection.

1999: Launch of the Pushkin and Ice Cube collections. Partnership with the Prince's Foundation, founded by the Prince of Wales.

2000: Presentation of the world's first LUC Quattro watch, equipped with a LUC 1.98 movement with four mainspring barrels (two sets of two stacked mainspring barrels each, patented LUC Quattro® technology), giving the watch a power reserve of 9 days.

2001: Introduction of the LUC Tonneau model, equipped with the first tonneau-shaped automatic movement (LUC 3.97) with an off-center micro-rotor. Award of the Chopard Trophy at the Cannes Film Festival. Caroline and Karl-Friedrich Scheufele become Co-Presidents of Chopard.

2002: Presentation of a new jewelry concept with the launch of the Golden Diamonds collection. Chopard becomes the official timekeeper of the prestigious Grand Prix de Monaco historique, a classic car race in Monte Carlo. Launch of the Elton John watch collection commissioned by the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

2003: Presentation of the first LUC Tourbillon model, a significant technological achievement in haute horlogerie. Launch of the new Happy Spirit collection. Creation of a Jacky Ickx watch line.

2004: Presentation of the LUC at Baselworld. Regulator watch, which was awarded "Watch of the Year" by the Swiss magazine Montres Passion/Uhrenwelt.

2005: Presentation of the LUC Lunar One, powered by the LUC 96 QP mechanical automatic movement with perpetual calendar and orbital moon phase display. Launch of the Copacabana Haute Joaillerie collection.

2006: Presentation of the LUC Chrono One, the first chronograph in the LUC collection with caliber 10CF, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Chopard manufacture. Opening of the LUCEUM in Fleurier.

2007: Launch of the Two O Ten watch collection. Opening of the new flagship boutique in New York with a new interior design concept and presentation of the eponymous 709 Madison collection. Presentation of the first Haute Joaillerie Red Carpet collection, dedicated to the Cannes Film Festival. Founding of the Japanese subsidiary "Chopard Japan Ltd."

2008: Launch of the new Elton John chronograph collection in Moscow. Award as "Best Training Company" in the "Applied Arts" category by the Canton of Geneva for Chopard's long-standing commitment to education and training. Founding of the company Fleurier Ebauches SA.

2009: Presentation of the L.UC Tourbillon Tech Twist watch with silicon escapement at Baselworld. Presentation of a high-frequency escapement (10 Hz) developed by Chopard Technologies. Opening of a new flagship boutique in Singapore, reflecting the new interior design concept.
