Description:
A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte gilt men's three-cover pocket watch, Arabic numerals, rare circular railway minute track, indirect seconds above the "6"
OLIV quality. OLIV was a slightly less expensive private label brand of Lange & Söhne for resellers. Technically, OLIV was absolutely on par with "genuine" Lange & Söhne watches, as evidenced by the swan-neck fine adjustment, which is standard in every Lange gold pocket watch. It simply lacked some absolute highlights – sometimes even "bells and whistles" – such as a diamond endstone or screwed chatons.
At the center, a guilloché metal dial with Arabic numerals; typical age-related patina on the dial; blued hands in the Berguet style; gilt, typical Lange/Glashütte 3/4 plate; 15 ruby jewels; compensated balance; blued Breguet hairspring; swan-neck fine adjustment; case diameter approx. 50 mm
This magnificent piece of horological history starts running and continues to run (accuracy not tested)
Condition: 2 normal, noticeable signs of age and use, unrestored dial with light patina, high-precision movement spotless, all covers close tightly and flush, the magnificent artifact starts and runs
