Absolute rarity and museum collector’s item:
Lange&Söhne luxury OLIW 0.800 solid silver men's pocket watch around 1928 mechanical
Description:
A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte, 0.800 silver men's three-cover pocket watch, Arabic numerals, rare circumferential railway minute track, indirect second above the "6"
OLIV quality. OLIV was a somewhat cheaper brand from Lange & Söhne for resellers. OLIV was technically absolutely on par with "genuine" Lange & Söhne watches, as evidenced by the swan-neck fine adjustment, which is a feature of every Alnge gold pocket watch. It only lacked absolute highlights – sometimes even "bells and whistles" like a diamond capstone or screwed chatons.
Guilloche-decorated metal dial with Arabic numerals in the center, typical age-related patina on the dial; blued hands in the Berguet style; gold-plated, typical Lange/Glashütter 3/4 plate; 15 ruby bearings; compensation balance; blued Breguet hairspring; swan-neck fine adjustment; movement no. 93408; case no. 500008; case diameter approx. 53 mm.
This magnificent piece of watch history runs continuously (accuracy not tested)
EZ: 2 normal, visible signs of age and use, dial unrestored with patina (see photos), high-precision movement spotless, all lids close tightly and flush, the magnificent artifact starts and runs
