History of Conrad Felsing Lange & Söhne concessionaire in Berlin (Source: Watchwiki):

Felsing, Albert

Albert Karl Julius Felsing was born on November 10, 1827. He was the son of Johann Conrad Felsing , founder of the Conrad Felsing company in Berlin. He took over his father's business, which he continued under the name Conrad Felsing. Later, he became court clockmaker and commission councilor. He was a holder of the Order of the Crown, IV Class. Felsing donated, among other things, the tower clock of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin and was a concessionaire of A. Lange & Söhne .

Albert Felsing's third marriage was around 1875 to the much younger Elisabeth Herring. [1] Two children were born to this marriage, Wilhelmina Elisabeth Josephine Felsing (December 6, 1876), and Willibald Albert Felsing , born around 1878. Wilhelmina Felsing married police lieutenant Louis Erich Otto Dietrich, and from this marriage Marie Magdalene Dietrich was born. Later known as Marlene Dietrich (1901-1992 ).

This makes court watchmaker Albert Felsing the grandfather of this famous actress and singer.

Albert Felsing died on 5 January 1901 , Elisabeth Herring died on 29 January 1919 .
