Antique, very fine luxury men's pocket watch with original watch chain from the time of the legendary watch manufacturer Audemars Freres, forerunner of today's world-famous luxury watch manufacturer Audemars Piguet
This is obviously a rare export copy for the American market, as the luxury watch manufacturer "Audemars" was called and signed "Audemars Freres" and not "Audemars Brothers" in Europe.

On the dust cover there is a dedication engraving from grandfather to his grandson, the unrestored original dial has hairline cracks and several fine cracks/chips around the "10" as well as 2 small "blemishes" next to the "10" and, almost unnoticeable, above the "1".
The very fine and precise early, "Audemars Brothers" signed lever movement has a high-quality swan-neck fine adjustment and the very rare "adjusted" manufacturing condition, which means that the high-precision movement was tested and adjusted in various positions and temperatures by the manufacturer before delivery. It couldn't be more complex for a mechanical movement.
This magnificent piece of watch history runs continuously (accuracy not tested, date of last service unknown)
EZ: 2 - 3 good collector's condition! Few noticeable signs of age or wear other than cracks and blemishes on the dial. Dial unrestored, runs and functions, movement clean and strong.
