Case diameter: 34mm (without crown), hinged protective grille, black dial with fluorescent dot and arrow indices, fluorescent hands, date at the "3" with quick-set date, screwed bezel (non-rotating) with engraved cardinal directions / sailing courses
Original gold screw-down crown signed by Breitling, original gold-plated Breitling steel link bracelet with signed Breitling folding clasp, screw-down case back with very worn engraving, I recognize a number: 81480 or 86460, "All SW / SS", "... and tested by Breitling"
This magnificent piece of Breitling and watch design history is running (date of last battery change is unknown)
This precious piece currently shows clear signs of wear, but there is some real damage: the engraving on the back is blurred, the original stainless steel bracelet is worn out (but still functional), and there are many scratches on the bezel, case, and strap that a professional can repair.
On the bezel, from "11" to "3," the course markings are partially illegible due to scratches. This will not change even with a refurbishment. The other 11 course markings are clearly legible. The hinges of the protective grille are well preserved and functional. The original mineral glass has scratches and should be replaced if it bothers you.
