In 1946, Georges Dubey and René Schaldenbrand founded the company Dubey & Schaldenbrand in La Chaux-de-Fonds . They decided to produce a small number of the simplified split-seconds chronographs developed by Schaldenbrand, known as the " Index-Mobile ." They also manufactured wrist chronographs and simple wristwatches with manual and automatic winding .
