Dubois & Fils Luxury Design Men's Automatic Wristwatch with Day/Date Function and Moon Phase Display
Dubois & Fils calls itself the oldest Swiss watch manufacturer and was taken over by Thomas Steinemann in 2010. Since then, highly precise, stylish collections, mostly limited editions, have been offered.
Case dimensions: 40mm x 32mm, black dial with fluorescent Arabic numerals, day and month in switchable display at the top, date displayed by an arrow, moon phase displayed above the "6" including up to 31 days to align the moon phase with the days of the month.
The date arrow, month and weekday are set via side pushers, a fourth pusher has no function, probably it is a bit stuck or stiff and is responsible for the moon phase. This can probably be easily fixed by a professional, otherwise the moon phase can also be set/adjusted once by over-winding the "12".
The case back has a display window and reveals a high-precision movement with no less than 21 jewel bearings.
This wonderful and rare luxury piece is waterproof, has a mineral crystal and features a simple, used genuine leather strap with a silver pin buckle. It comes in a simple cardboard case, the pre-fabricated, matching padding indicates that it is the original packaging.
