Movement engraved and numbered "No 5243 Army & Navy Cooperative Society 105 Victoria St. London SW"
Well-preserved enamel dial with off-center second hand, signed with the movement number, blued steel hands, and presumably the original display case. Inside the case is a kind of advertising "slip" that serves as both a sales slip and receipt, as the movement number and date of sale are handwritten on it in pencil.
Matching case and movement numbers, dial signed with movement number, off-center second, blued steel hands, in beautiful condition, working. The movement is maker-signed with "Cooperative Society Ltd" and "Army and Navy," among other marks.
This magnificent piece of (military) watch history runs continuously (accuracy not tested)
EZ: 2 little noticeable signs of age and wear, dial unrestored in excellent condition, extremely fine movement sparkling clean, all lids close tightly and flush, the magnificent artifact starts and runs
