Original Poljot Kirova deck watch, marine chronometer, in original partially damaged wooden box (partially damaged because the green velvet lining and the inner glass of the case are missing, but both can be easily repaired).
Description:
Marine chronometer, Poljot, Russian B-Uhr / Deck watch / Marine chronometer in original wooden box
White dial with Arabic numerals, minute track, blued hands, marked "Poljot" and "Made in USSR" in Cyrillic script.
Metal case with pink case back and inner security cover, chronometer diameter approx. 63.5 mm
In original wooden box with brass fittings, partially lined with green velvet, with a metal plaque bearing the inscription in Russian, among other things, "Moscow Clock Factory Kirov. Deck Clock" and the number 17156-71.
Dimensions of original box (LxHxW): approx. 13cm x 7.7cm x 10cm, normal signs of age and use, but no real damage apart from the aforementioned locking mechanism.
This magnificent piece of marine chronometer history starts running (accuracy not tested)
EZ: 2 - excellent used condition, few visible signs of age or use, unrestored, flawless dial, mahogany wooden box well preserved except for the aforementioned lack of velvet lining and glass, box also very well preserved with a beautiful patina
