Rare Cal. 100 movement blank, marine chronometer / deck watch by Poljot / Kirova / Moscow Watch Factory from approx. 1960, replicated from a Lange & Söhne Glashütte war trophy
It is well known that after 1945, the Russian army dismantled both machinery and raw movements and finished parts from the Lange & Söhne manufacture in Glashütte and brought them to Russia as war trophies.
From late 1945 onwards, the Moscow Watch Factory produced both B-watches and marine chronometers, including the Marine Chronometer movement Cal. 100, under the name "Kirova 1" using original parts from the Lange & Söhne Glashütte manufacture.
When the captured individual parts and raw movements from Glashütte were used up, they were reproduced in Moscow on the original machines until almost the 1980s.
