Rare and sought-after Junghans J88 column-wheel chronograph, a piece of German watch history, developed and delivered for the young Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) from 1950 onwards (it appears to be a civilian example, however, as it is not signed "Bund")
Case diameter: 36mm, Caliber 88, year of manufacture approx. 1950, 17 ruby bearings, pressed stainless steel case back
Very good condition, several watchmaker's marks in the lid prove that the chronograph has always been well maintained, dial is unrestored, luminous material of the hands still glows, the numerals do not, but perhaps a specialist can clean them so that they glow again
This rare collector's item starts and runs continuously, chronograph and flyback function (accuracy not tested)
