Offered is a super rare and sought-after example of Glashütte watch history: a 900 Sterling silver men's pocket watch from the Glashütte precision watch factory Ernst Kasiske, which only existed for a few years
Pocket watches from the Glashütte Precision Watch Factory are much, much rarer than those from Julius Assmann or even Lange & Söhne. For this reason, the rare examples that still reach the collector market command significantly higher prices than those from other Glashütte manufacturers.
Description:
Luxury men's pocket watch from the German precision watch factory Ernst Kasiske Glashütte
Case made of fine 900 sterling silver, from around 1920
Hallmarks including fineness and manufacturer's mark, case and movement no. 300826
Smooth case, white enamel dial with Arabic indices and seconds dial at 6 o'clock, blued hands. Diameter: a mighty 55 mm, weight: approx. 118.5 g. The enamel of the otherwise flawless original dial is minimally damaged, with a small "scratch" above the hand stem that's only noticeable if you look for it (see photos).
The extremely fine, typical Glashütte 3/4 plate construction, precision movement has two screwed chatons and a high-quality swan-neck fine adjustment (also typical for Glashütte pocket watches of the era)
