The sun is depicted in the center, surrounded by four planets with their orbits. The planet in the center—presumably Earth—moves once per second (see video). We could not determine whether the other three planets also move according to their orbits or whether the device has any kind of clock function.

Simply constructed with a basic quartz movement, but it looks very elegant - ideal for the desk where clients are received.
Two of the four screw holes have small cracks in the plexiglass - see photos (2cm and 1.5cm in length) - the other two screw holes are undamaged.
The large and elegant-looking astrolabe is working; the battery has just been replaced.
