The subject of this offer is an extremely rare original Glashütte men's pocket watch: a men's pocket watch signed Tutima Glashütte in solid 0.800 silver with an extremely rare Urofa caliber 19, which was produced in very small numbers only from 1928 to 1933
The Tutima watch factory of the Glashütte watch legend Dr. Ernst Kurtz consisted of the companies Urofa and Ufag. Urofa supplied the watch movements and Ufag built Tutima watches from them
The best-known models of the Tutima watch factory Glashütte were the legendary Tutima pilot chronograph caliber 59 as well as Wehrmacht service watches with the legendary Urofa caliber 58, the so-called "Raumnutzwerk"
There are hardly any "Tutima" signed watches by Dr. Kurtz known and preserved except for the above-mentioned legendary military models for the Reichsluftwaffe and the Wehrmacht. This makes the almost unique pocket watch of this offer a super rare, museum-quality artifact
The ultra-rare Urofa caliber 19 was based on a movement by the Swiss company Emile Judith, whose machines, parts, and production equipment Urofa acquired in 1926/27 and then produced caliber 19 itself, it is so to speak a piece of Glashütte watch history
