Very, very rare artifact from the 1930s:
A men's pocket watch Zentra Cal. 62 "Reich Labor Service", fully signed with the Reich Labor Service logo and national emblem (Imperial Eagle), apparently awarded after one year of compulsory service in the Reich Labor Service or for special merits during such a compulsory year.
I have been collecting military pocket watches for decades and have seen tens of thousands of service watches at auctions, on the Internet and at major watch fairs, but never has there been an official "Reichsarbeitsdienst" pocket watch among them.
An obviously super rare piece of German (pre)military watch history
Description:
Case diameter: 50mm, robust, gold-plated Zentra lever movement Cal. 62, stainless steel case with pressed case back, silver-plated dial with Arabic numerals and a 24-hour scale, high-quality blued hands
Engraving on the back: "my Reich Labor Service period 1938" and a seemingly official logo of the Reich Labor Service inside
This super rare artifact of German (military) watch history runs continuously (accuracy not tested, we generally recommend a service for watches of this age)
EZ: 2 - good technical, age-related condition, all lids close flush, dial unrestored, in good condition, starts and runs
